Investigation Into Levittown Attack That Injured Dogs, Resident Ongoing

Two dogs reportedly attacked a man and his dogs in Bristol Township’s Levittown section Monday afternoon.

According to 6abc, Joseph Monaghan was walking his golden retriever, Mookie, and his Shih Tzu, Boey, when the incident happened.

An unleashed husky attacked Monaghan’s dogs and then a man walked up with a leashed pitbull that joined in, according to the 6abc report.

Monaghan suffered bad bit-related wounds to his hand and his two dogs were treated for injuries, the report said.

Monaghan told the TV station the man who he believed owned the dogs quickly left the scene.

Police told LevittownNow.com the incident occurred on Ruby Lane.

Police Lt. Sean Cosgrove said all parties involved have been identified.

“The investigation should be completed in the coming days,” he said.
