Woman Found Unconscious During Kitchen Fire, Rescued By Firefighter

A woman was found on the floor of her kitchen during a fire late Tuesday afternoon.

The fire was reported late in the afternoon at a home in the 100 block of Beechwood Avenue in Middletown Township’s Langhorne section.

The woman was found unconscious on the kitchen floor and was removed by Parkland Fire Company Captain William Oettinger, who was the first on the scene, Parkland Fire Company Chief T.J. Stressman said.

The fire was put down and contained to the kitchen stovetop by crews from several companies, Stressman said.

The Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad transported the woman to St. Mary Medical Center, the chief said.

It is suspected the unconscious woman had a medical emergency before the fire, Stressman said.

The Middletown Township Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the blaze.

A nearby resident told LevittownNow.com two ambulances were on the scene with several fire trucks and police vehicles.
