A motorcyclist narrowly avoided life-threatening injuries in a crash Wednesday at Route 13 and Levittown Parkway.

The crash happened just before noon in Tullytown Borough.
Police Sgt. Andrew Bunda said officers learned through the initial investigation and witness interviews that a Hyundai made a last minute decision to turn from Route 13 onto Levittown Parkway, spooking the motorcyclist, and causing the two-wheeled vehicle to sideswipe the Hyundai. The motorcycle then went into the opposing lanes of Levittown Parkway and struck a Honda that was making a left onto Route 13.
Bunda said the motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle and ended up in the roadway.

The drivers of the Hyundai and Honda were unhurt.
The Bucks County Rescue Squad and Levittown No. 1 and Tullytown fire companies responded along with Tullytown and Bristol Township police.

The rescue squad transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. Bunda said the motorcyclist remained in the hospital as of Thursday.
