The crash happened at Newportville Road and Ritter Avenue in the Croydon section of the township around 11 p.m. Friday.
“The preliminary investigation shows that a black Mazda 3 sedan was traveling north on Newportville Road. The operator of the black Mazda 3 could not negotiate the curve at Newportville Road and Parkview Avenue, causing it to make contact with a pole and a tree before coming to rest at Ritter Avenue,” police said in a statement.

The driver was rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia by the Bucks County Rescue Squad.
