According to Pennsylvania State Police, a motorist was traveling on I-95 south just past the Bristol exit last Wednesday just past 6:50 p.m. when the Civic they were operating began having a mechanical problem. The driver pulled onto the shoulder.
As the driver of the Civic – a 37-year-old man from Philadelphia – was trying to figure out what was wrong with the car, a passing driver on the highway threw a “large piece of metal” at their Civic, state police said.
The metal object struck the Civic, but not the motorist, troopers said.
