
In an effort to end hunger, a group of ex-NFL players convened in Bristol Borough on Saturday, December 10.

Fred Baxter, Irving Fryar, and Justin Renfrow were among the former NFL players who attended the ceremony with Lee Woodall, head of the Philadelphia Chapter of the NFL Alumni Association. Young people in attendance participated in football drills led by the retired players.
The Team Up Against Hunger Food Drive was held by the Bucks County Opportunity Council at the HELP Center in Bristol Borough in association with the Bucks County Behavioral Health and Developmental Programs, the NFL Alumni Association’s Philadelphia Chapter, and Magellan Behavioral Health of Pennsylvania.
Over 530 pounds of food were collected during the two-hour event.

The Team Up Against Hunger Food Drive continued through Friday.
The collected food will be distributed across a network of more than 70 food pantries in the area.

Baxter played with the New York Jets, Chicago Bears, and New England Patriots, while Fryar played with the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, and the Washington D.C. football team. Renfrow was a member of the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, the Calgary Stampeders, BC Lions, and Edmonton Eskimos, and Woodall played with the San Francisco 49ers, Carolina Panthers, and Denver Broncos.
