Older adults at several Bucks County senior centers contributed handmade ornaments that were hung on the Christmas tree

Seniors from the Falls Township Senior Center, Eastern Upper Bucks Senior Center, Middletown Senior Citizens Center, and the Upper Bucks Senior Center created ornaments for the tree.

Older adults from more than 70 senior centers in 35 counties across the state and numerous pre-K students created ornaments for the tree this year.

“Every year, the seniors get into the holiday spirit and use their creativity and talent in making ornaments that are unique to each senior center. Each ornament is unique and embodies the pride of being ‘made in PA’ along with the holiday tree that comes from a Pennsylvania tree farm. I extend our thanks to all of the seniors who contributed ornaments as part of this annual holiday tradition,” said Pennsylvania Secretary of Aging Robert Torres.

The Christmas tree in the capitol is a 20-foot douglas fir from Crystal Spring Tree Farm in Lehighton, Carbon County.
