Rain is expected to move into the area late Tuesday afternoon and last through early Wednesday morning.
By Wednesday morning, the Levittown area is expected to receive about an inch of rain, with northern parts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey receiving as much as 3 inches of snow, the first of the colder-weather season.
The rain follows the first night of freezing temperatures that impacted the entire region. Previously, frost had been spotty.
