K.C. Tomlinson will keep her job as a state representative.

Tomlinson, of Bensalem Township and the daughter of outgoing State Sen. Tommy Tomlinson, beat challenger Laurie Smith to represent the 18th Legislative District, which has been redistricted to cover Hulmeville Borough and Bensalem Township. Tomlinson obtained about 52 percent of the vote, according to unofficial election results.
Tomlinson was first elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2020 special election. She was then elected to her first full term in November 2020.
Tomlinson is a Bensalem Township native who helps run Tomlinson Funeral Home and is a licensed funeral director.

Smith is a mother and former teacher. She joined the race in August after previous Democratic candidate Kris Walski dropped out due to health reasons.
