SEPTA and TMA Bucks brought ambassadors, occupational therapists, and a bus to the Falls Township high school as part of the M.O.S.T (More Opportunities for Student Training) program.
Students were taught how to properly board buses, how to pay with SEPTA Key cards, how to behave on buses, and how to navigate certain bus routes. Pennsbury staff members and students also had the chance to ask several questions.
The M.O.S.T program for 18 to 21-year-old students in the Pennsbury School District shifts the emphasis from academic credits to post-secondary results. The program focuses on employment and independent living through practical curricula and real-world experiences in the community.

โThese types of training events are a great opportunity to get students that are learning life skills comfortable with the idea of utilizing public transit to get around,โ said TMA Bucks Deputy Director David Walter. โThe calm and controlled environment is a perfect setting that allows the students to not feel overwhelmed and spend as much time as possible asking any important questions they may have.โ
“Thank you to SEPTA occupational therapists Catherine Fleming and Amy Raphael for showing our students the ropes!” the district said in a social media post.
