UPDATE: Langhorne Planning Commission Meeting On Proposed Townhomes Pushed To November
Langhorne Borough officials are soon this week to start their review of a Toll Brothers proposed 62-townhouse development on Bellevue Avenue, part-time borough Manager Paul Leonard and council President Paul Murdock said during and after last Wednesday evening’s council meeting.
The borough planning commission will start considering a zoning overlay for the project at the Wednesday, Oct. 19 meeting, both men said. Toll Brothers has an agreement to purchase the site, which borders Flowers Avenue, from nonprofit Woods Services, they added.

The planning commission is a recommending body and would pass on that recommendation to the council, which has final say on both the zoning overlay and land development approval which would also be needed for the development to be built.
Toll Brothers had originally applied for several zoning variances but Leonard recommended instead a zoning overlay because he and other borough officials felt it would be a better way for them to have control over the development and minimize possible negative impacts on residents.
The plan marks the largest development project in the borough’s borders in several years.

Some residents have raised concerns about the addition of a new housing development in Langhone Borough.
The planning commission will meet Wednesday at the borough hall at 7:30 p.m. The meeting can also be joined via Zoom.
