
Four people were sent to the hospital – one in critical condition – following a nasty Radcliffe Street crash in Bristol Township.
The crash happened around 7:45 a.m. Friday on Radcliffe Street at Hammond Street next to Pennsylvania Turnpike/I-95 bridge over the Delaware River.

Police at the scene said the white sedan slammed head-on into a white pickup truck which was packed with building supplies.
There were three people in the white sedan and two in the pickup truck. One of the passengers from the car was listed in serious condition, and the others were stable, police said.

The driver of the white sedan fled the scene and Bristol Township police deployed a K-9 unit to track him. The driver fled with a limp, police Sgt. C.J. Winik said.

Around 8:50 a.m., police cars from Bristol Township and Bristol Borough rushed toward North Wilson Avenue.
The suspected driver was captured in a yard between Ash and North Wilson avenues on the Bristol Borough and Bristol Township border around 9 a.m.

The suspected driver did have blood on his shirt and carried a cane.
It was unclear if the suspected driver was going to be charged, but police wanted to talk with him.
Firefighters from the America Hose, Hook and Ladder, Edgely, and Levittown No. 2 fire companies, along with Bristol Township Fire Rescue, cut the roof off the sedan and freed one injured person.

Edgely Fire Company Chief Brian Cirard said it took about 20 minutes to extricate the badly hurt passenger from the sedan.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
