The university in Langhorne Manor Borough will hold the reception for Philadelphia-based artist Timothy Gierschick IIโs “New Creatures” exhibit on Friday, September 2 at 6 p.m.
The event at the university’s Connie A. Eastburn Gallery will feature discussion from the artist and light refreshments.
“The body of works on display has come from Timothyโs own psychological and imaginative world and has been inspired by the nature and culture he is suffused with, incorporating everything up to and including advertising and pop culture to โfineโ paintings. The matter with which these paintings are made are also a product of the world, often being created on found surfacesโhumble, discarded pieces that he resurrects and finds new life in,” the university said in a statement.
