
A resident was able to keep a fire from spreading at his home until crews arrived Thursday afternoon.

Around 2 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to Auburn Road in Falls Township’s Fairless Hills section for blaze at a home.
“Upon arrival, a fire was discovered burning on the exterior of the dwelling and the homeowner was using a garden hose to control the fire,” according to a statement from the fire marshal’s office.
Crews that arrived at the scene extinguished the flames and checked the home for extension. It was discovered the fire didn’t spread inside the home, the fire marshal’s office said.

No injuries were reported.
Firefighters left the scene by 2:30 p.m.
