Crews were dispatched around 4:30 p.m. to the 300 block of East Circle for the fire call and discovered a smoky haze in a home. It appeared to be coming from a second-floor bedroom, according to Bristol Borough Fire Chief Herb Slack.
Firefighters found the smoke was from an electric baseboard heater that had switched on. Due to non-use, it had accumulated a layer of dust that had burned, Slack said.
There were no injuries and no serious damage to the residence, the chief said.
