Cate’s Spotlight: New Fashion Store Opens On Mill Street

Mill Street in Bristol Borough recently welcomed Solar Fashion, boasting affordable, yet good quality, stylish, and washable clothing for both ladies and gents. Solar Fashion is a new retail location, but this is not really a new gig for co- proprietor, Kyunghye Ahn who already owns a ladies store in Lakewood, New Jersey.

Her husband, Taehee Ahn has owned a men’s store in New Brunswick for almost 30 years. They migrated to the U.S. from Seoul, South Korea in 1984 along with their daughter, Haemi, and their son, Keith, who co-owns this new Mill Street shop with his mother.

The Ahn family shares a strong work ethic.

“We didn’t know the language and we just worked very hard,” confirmed Kyunghye.

Their 304 Mill Street location tucked away in historic Bristol on the Delaware was once home to Leonard A. Wilson’s “Leonard’s ~ The Fine Art Jewelry Shoppe”.

“We really like it here in Bristol Borough, and our neighbor on Mill Street, Papa’s Pretzel Place, is owned by our daughter Haemi’s father-in-law, Michael Beck. It’s perfect!” stated Kyunghye.

Solar Fashion presents a wide variety of versatile, posh statement pieces including floral dresses, strappy sundresses, bright jewelry [some earrings for $1, fashionable purses, simple tanks, an intersection of comfortable and iconic killer shoes, and stockings for the fashion conscious females.

Some days are simply too hot to deal with a sleeve of any sort, which is why a cropped top can be a certain savior, an answer to both style qualms and heat concerns!

There are also a wide variety of dress and casual shirts, relaxed jeans, slacks, army pants, and army cargo shorts for the gentleman.

With so many differently styled, inexpensive pieces, one can surely locate an appealing selection, a genuinely loved put-together look, while putting one’s best foot forward.
