Firefighters Cut Door From Vehicle, Remove Driver

A crash on Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Bristol Township brought out police, medics, and firefighters.

The crash happened around 1:20 p.m. Friday in the area of Tire City in the 2700 block of Veterans Highway.

Two vehicles appeared to have impacted in the roadway, causing debris to be strewn about.

The impact caused the woman driving the white sedan to become trapped. Firefighters cut off the door and removed her, bystanders said.

The woman was removed and taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

No life-threatening injuries were reported.

The roadway was blocked for a short time following the rescue as crews cleared debris and the vehicles.

Several Bristol Township fire companies and Bristol Township Fire Rescue were on the scene. The Bucks County Rescue Squad and Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad also responded.
