Middletown Township police, animal control, and firefighters didn’t respond to a scream Tuesday morning, but they did respond to a quack.

In a Facebook post, the township celebrated the employees who responded to a call for ducks, including ducklings, that had fallen in a storm drain outside the Giant Food Store in the Summit Square shopping center.
Fire Inspector Riley Collins, Animal Control Officer Cheyenne Keen, and Officer Andrew Herman helped free the trapped ducks.
“The ducklings look happy for the help!” the township wrote in the post.
