
Parts of the area could see a temporary discoloration in their tap water this month.

According to the Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority (LBCJMA), flushing of fire hydrants is underway, starting earlier this week.
The work will take place between June 7 and will conclude on June 24.
Flushing usually only disrupts water service for about an hour.

The LBCJMA said residents in the neighborhoods where hydrants are being flush can expect to see their water slightly discolored during the process. Officials discourage using the discolored water for drinking, cooking or cleaning.
