According to a public notice, a restaurant liquor license has been purchased from A & S Pizza and Pasta on Edgely Road by Wawa for their new location on Cinder Lane between Bristol-Oxford Valley Road and Emilie Road in Bristol Township’s Levittown section.
Wawa hasn’t announced its plans to sell alcohol at the new location, but the company has done it at other stores.
The company was awarded its first Pennsylvania liquor license to sell wine and beer in 2019 and has expanded that footprint since. It has sold alcohol in locations in other states for years.

Jennifer Wolf, a Wawa spokesperson, said the company doesn’t have specifics on the Bristol Township location, but there are currently 12 existing Keystone State locations that sell beer.
“We anticipate up to an additional 10 stores to come on line for PA in 2022,” the spokesperson said.

With changes in Pennsylvania’s strict liquor laws over the past decade, more convenience stores and grocery stores have been pushing into the market of selling beer and wine.
The new Wawa will replace the closed location on Emilie Road and the currently open one at the corner of New Falls Road and Bristol-Oxford Valley Road.
Over the past decade, Wawa has been moving to build new locations in the Levittown area and add stations with gas pumps.

Wawa is currently building nearby locations in Falls Township and Middletown Township.
