A driver was hurt in a Tuesday crash along Levittown Parkway.

The crash happened at 11:55 a.m. on Levittown Parkway between New Falls Road and Mill Creek Parkway in Bristol Township. An SUV slammed into a tree along the roadway.
Firefighters arrived to find the driver heavily entrapped and got to work freeing them, according to Levittown Fire Company No. 2 Chief Chris Shortt.
Crews cut off both front doors of the SUV and cut open the roof, said Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito, who also heads Bristol Township Fire Rescue.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to remove the injured driver from the vehicle, Dippolito said.
The driver was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition was not immediately known.

The cause of the crash was not known as of late afternoon.
The Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad sent two ambulances to the crash site.
In addition to police and medics, the Fairless Hills and Levittown No. 2 fire companies responded along with Bristol Township Fire Rescue.
