John Fetterman’s campaign events in the state on Friday were cancelled and the events, including a Central Bucks County stop, were halted on Saturday. A LevittownNow.com reporter found out only a short time before the gathering was slated to begin.

Several Democrats told LevittownNow.com they were of the understanding Fetterman was sick. They were unclear if it was COVID-19 or something else entirely.

Fetterman’s campaign didn’t immediately comment on what happened or whether Fetterman was ill.

Fetterman, Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor, posted a photo of a campaign sticker of his in Philadelphia Saturday afternoon. It was unclear if he took the photo.

Fetterman is in a competitive primary and had a busy weekend of campaigning ahead.

The final days before Tuesday’s primary are expected to busy for candidates on both sides, as they work to get all the support they can muster.

The candidate from just outside of Pittsburgh posted on Twitter Thursday that he was taking his wife out to dinner in Lancaster on Thursday following a campaign event.
