Middletown Township police are seeking witnesses to a fatal crash that happened at the Oxford Valley Mall.

The crash happened Tuesday evening around 6:03 p.m. in the parking lot of the United Artists Theatre when a minivan slammed into a tree.
“The vehicle traveled around the backside of the business until it left the parking lot and struck a tree,” police said in statement.
The male driver of the minivan was taken to Jefferson Bucks Hospital by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad and succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The passenger was taken to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment, police said.
Bystander Drew Berkelbach witnessed medics perform CPR on one of the victims after they were extricated from the minivan.

Firefighters from the Fairless Hills, Langhorne-Middletown, and Penndel fire companies worked to cut the driver and passenger free from the wreck. The crews ended up cutting the roof off the minivan.
