Lower Makefield Township police are investigating a report of an man pulling a truck over to a young girl.

The incident happened near Saxony Lane by Edgewood Elementary School in Lower Makefield Township, according to Pennsbury School District officials.

A date and time for the incident were released, but the school district received the report Tuesday evening.

“A red pickup truck pulled over and asked the 6 year old girl if she wanted a Tennis Ball (holding it close to the passenger side window) and then drove off,” officials said.

District officials have asked people to be vigilant of strange occurrences and report them.

Dear Pennsbury School Community,

This evening we received a concerning report through our Safe2Say tipline. A Pennsbury student reported that when they were picking up their sibling from Edgewood Elementary School and started walking near Saxony Lane, a red pickup truck pulled over and asked the 6 year old girl if she wanted a Tennis Ball (holding it close to the passenger side window) and then drove off. We have no further details at this time.

The Lower Makefield Township Police have been notified and are investigating. If you have information related to this incident, please contact the Lower Makefield Police Department. Please remind your children to call 911 and/or tell a trusted adult if they have a similar experience.
