Students at a Neshaminy School District middle school raised thousands of dollars for cancer research.

Maple Point Middle School in Middletown Township hosted their annual Coaches vs. Cancer on Friday, March 18.
The event pitted the boys team at Maple Point against the boys team from Carl Sandburg Middle School.
The competition had the ultimate goal of raising money for cancer search.

Coaches vs. Cancer was dedicated this year to people who are fighting cancer and have ties to the school community.
The event raised a record $31,126 for the American Cancer Society.

Since the event started in 2014, more than $108,000 has been raised for cancer research.
