February 17
DUI
At around 12:45 a.m., an officer in the area of Lincoln Highway and Bellevue Avenue passed a vehicle that was traveling west on Lincoln Highway. As the vehicle passed, the officer’s vehicle-based license plate reader indicated that the vehicle had an expired and suspended registration. The officer conducted further PennDOT checks and confirmed that the registration was suspended. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the driver who was also the sole occupant. The driver was identified as a 44-year-old man after he provided a Pennsylvania identification card. While speaking with the man, the officer could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming his breath and person. The man was asked to participate in field sobriety testing. During the testing, the man displayed several indicators of being under the influence of alcohol and he was unable to complete the tests. The man was arrested for suspected DUI. He was transported to St. Mary Medical Center where he consented to a blood draw. Charges are pending the outcome of lab testing.

Possession Of A Controlled Substance
At around 10:45 a.m., an officer was driving south on South Bellevue Avenue when he observed a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction that displayed counterfeit emissions and inspection stickers. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver and sole occupant. The driver was identified as a 44-year-old man by his driver’s license. While speaking with the man, the officer could detect the odor of fresh marijuana coming from the vehicle. The man did consent to a search of his vehicle where a clear baggie of suspected marijuana was found. The suspected marijuana was seized and will be analyzed by a lab. Charges are pending the outcome of lab testing.
March 9
Arrest
An officer was requested to check on a subject sleeping on the sidewalk in front of a business on Lincoln Highway. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with a 39-year-old man. The man reported that he was waiting for a bus to take him back home after the late-night shutdown. The officer offered to take the man to the bus stops at the Neshaminy Mall where the next bus would arrive around 5:30 a.m. Due to contacting the man, his full name and date of birth was requested. After checking with PennDOT and state police records, it was found that the man has an active warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested on the warrant and turned over to the sheriff’s office.
March 13
Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia
An officer observed a Ford pickup fail to stop for a steady red light and creep forward into the intersection. Once in the middle of the intersection, the truck then made a wide left turn on to Hulmeville Avenue from Lincoln Highway. The officer could see that one of the headlights was out and there was no required emissions or inspection sticker on the vehicle. While speaking to the driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 26-year-old man, the officer could detect the odor of suspected marijuana coming from the vehicle. After agreeing to a search of his vehicle, officers found paraphernalia in his vehicle consistent with the use of marijuana along with a baggie of suspected marijuana. Due to having no license, his truck was towed and the man was released from the scene with a summons to appear in court.

DUI
An officer was conducting a DUI patrol on Lincoln Highway when he observed a Dodge sedan travel on Lincoln Highway westbound straddle the dotted white line for the left and right lanes. Once the vehicle approached Hulmeville Avenue, the vehicle sped up to a high rate of speed while going downhill towards Neshaminty Street. Officers then activated their lights and the vehicle stopped in the 7-Eleven parking lot. Officers made contact with the driver, and sole occupant, a 24-year-old man. He provided his PA Driver’s License. While speaking with Wesley, officers could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and person. Even after he was out of the vehicle to participate in field sobriety exercises, the odor was still detectable. Wesley was unable to perform the field sobriety testing and was arrested for suspected DUI. Charges are pending the outcome of lab testing.
DUI
An officer participating in a Bucks County traffic detail observed a vehicle on Lincoln Highway that displayed expired emissions and inspection stickers. Upon stopping the vehicle, the officers could detect the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver, and sole occupant, a 24-year-old man, was identified with a driver’s license. Additionally, the man had bloodshot eyes and spoke with slurred speech. The man was arrested for suspected DUI and charges are pending the outcome of lab testing.
