A house in Middletown Township’s Parkland section was damaged in a Thursday night fire.

The fire was reported about 9:15 p.m. in the 900 block of Avenue F. Police arrived first to find smoke coming from the roof of the home, Parkland Fire Company Deputy Chief Bob Barnes said.
Crews went to work fighting the flames, and the blaze was declared under control about 20 minutes, Barnes said.
Flames were contained to the attic, Barnes said.

The family was home at the time and evacuated from the residence.
No injuries were reported.

The cause of the blaze remained under investigation as of Friday morning, said Don Harris, the interim fire marshal.
A neighbor told LevittownNow.com Highland Avenue was closed Thursday night in the area of Avenue F as crews battled the flames.
In addition to the Parkland Fire Company, crews from the Langhorne-Middletown, Penndel, and William Penn fire companies fought the flames. The Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad were also on the scene.
