Police Probe Possible Attempted Child Luring

Pennsbury School District officials issued a letter to parents Monday to report there was an attempted child luring last week.

The letter said a Pennsbury High School student reported the incident took place last Friday on Queen Anne Boulevard between South Olds Boulevard and Trenton Road in Falls Township.

Police were alerted and are investigating.

In a statement, police told LevittownNow.com the incident took place between 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.

The student reported she was walking home when an older man pulled up and repeatedly asked the girl if she needed a ride. She refused, police said.

The man eventually left the area.

The man is described as an older, heavy-set white man with slicked back gray hair and a white goatee. He was wearing an olive green military style cap and black-framed glasses, police said.

Investigators said the man was driving an older model gray sedan with a possible damaged front driver-side headlight.

“We would also like to acknowledge the efforts of the students who intervened and the student involved for telling the high school administration what happened,” the district in its letter.

Dear Pennsbury School Community,

A Pennsbury High School student reported an incident that took place this past Friday, March 18 after school. The student stated that a white male, driving a silver 4 door sedan approached her on Queen Anne Blvd, between S. Olds and Trenton Road, and offered her a ride. When she ignored him, the driver started demanding that she get in the car. There were other Pennsbury students on the other side of the road, and when they intervened, the car drove off. The incident took place at approximately 2:30 pm.

The Falls Township police have been notified and are investigating. If you have information related to this attempted luring, please contact the Falls Township Police Department.

We would also like to acknowledge the efforts of the students who intervened and the student involved for telling the high school administration what happened. Please remind your children to call 911 and/or tell a trusted adult if anything similar happens to them.
