State Rep. Tina Davis, a Democrat from Bristol Township, announced the Pennsylvania Department of Community Economic Development has awarded a $55,000 grant to the borough for the renovation.

The borough hall on Main Street currently has the borough offices, council meeting room, and the police department.

The building has previously served as the town’s school, housing grades one through 12.

โ€œIโ€™m pleased to see state money being approved to help the completion of a local project that will benefit our community and our residents,โ€ Davis said. โ€œThe funds announced today will allow Hulmeville to move forward with their renovation of their borough hall.โ€

The grant comes as Hulmeville Borough celebrates its 150th birthday.
