Police said the search warrants were executed Friday morning at New Superacucare on North Oxford Valley Road in Fairless Hills and West Trenton Day Spa on West Trenton Avenue in Morrisville.

“During the search warrant executions, a multitude of evidence was seized from each location,” police said in a statement.

Authorities said they located “evidence the employees were living inside both businesses.”

No charges were filed as of afternoon.

The township reportedly found code violations at the businesses.

Detectives were seen leaving the business in Fairless Hills with evidence bags.

A vehicle whose driver appeared to be headed to New Superacucare saw police and quickly left the parking lot, turning onto busy North Oxford Valley Road without a turn signal.

Last year, the Falls Township Board of Supervisors passed an ordinance to require all massage parlors and alternative therapy businesses to obtain a license annually to operate in the township as part of an effort to fight human trafficking.

In January, the Bucks County Commissioners passed an ordinance to more closely regulate massage parlors. The ordinance was designed to fight human trafficking and unfair labor labor practices.

Massage parlors, in some cases, can be hives for human trafficking and illegal sex businesses. The Polaris Project, a nonprofit that fights sex and labor trafficking, estimated in 2018 that 9,000 illicit massage parlors operate in America.
