Bristol Borough police are investigating a tip of a possible threat against the town’s high school.

Acting Superintendent Dr. Thomas Shaffer wrote in a letter to parents over the weekend that a tip said a high schooler “had a list of students he was planning to target.”
“The list mentioned first names only,” Shaffer said.
The student has been questioned by police, the acting superintendent said.

“It currently an active investigation that we are involved in,” said police Sgt. Joe Moors, who is leading the borough’s police department while the chief job is vacant.
No charges have been filed against any students as of Monday morning.

“Safety is our first priority and we believe the immediate response ensured the safety of all students,” Shaffer said.
The tip was made through the state’s Safe2Say threat reporting system.
Two students were charged in December for allegedly making threats against schools in the Bristol Borough School District in separate incidents.
