A fire on Tuesday damaged a Bristol Township residence.

The fire broke out around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday on Tremont Street.
The fire was contained to the kitchen of the home, but damaged enough to leave the residence temporarily uninhabitable, according to Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito.
There were no injuries.

The fire began near an old stereo unit in the house, Dippolito said.
The American Red Cross is providing housing assistance to the resident.

Bristol Township Fire Rescue and the Croydon, Levittown No. 2, and Newportville fire companies responded.
