The National Weather Service is calling for up to 2 inches of snow that will fall largely in the morning hours.
Light rain is expected to move into the area early Thursday morning and transition to snow between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. before ending by early afternoon. Temperatures are expected to drop to below freezing during the morning commute hours.
“Although not a major winter storm, timing of the changeover from rain to snow could lead to a messy morning commute,” forecasters said.
