Falls Township police were dispatched last Monday just past 10 p.m. for a burglary in progress at KAP Auto Sales on Lincoln Highway in the Morrisville section of the township. The owner of the business reported he spotted an unauthorized person at the business inside the secured fenced lot, according to court papers.

The car dealership was closed at the time and no one had authorization to be at the business, police said.

Responding officers surrounded the dealership’s fence and spotted the suspect. They ordered him to the ground and he refused to listen, police said.

The suspect failed to follow commands from officers and ran across the dealership lot, which was fenced in, police said.

The owner of the dealership arrived and searched the parking lot. The suspect was located laying on top of a motor home, police said.

The suspect – Charles H. Hilton, 39, of Trenton – was arrested, police said.

Officers reviewed security camera footage. Hilton was spotted carrying a duffel bag in the lot, police said.
