A car was ripped into two pieces along I-295 in Middletown Township.
The single-car crash happened around 10:48 p.m. Saturday on westbound I-295 near the Woodbourne Road overpass.

Frank Farry, the chief of the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company, said the vehicle was split into two pieces and there were initial reports a person had been ejected.
After a search of the area using thermal cameras, it was confirmed that no one was ejected, Farry said.
The driver was taken by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad to an area hospital for care.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash. No further information was immediately available.
The Parkland, Penndel, and William Penn fire company assisted Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company crews at the scene.
