In a major victory, Republicans retook all of Bucks County’s row offices that were on the ballot.

Republican Coleen Christian beat incumbent Democrat Judi Reiss for prothonotary, Republican Dan McPhillips bested Democrat incumbent Robin Robinson for Recorder of Deeds, and Republican Pamela A. Van Blunk gained more votes than incumbent Democrat Neale Dougherty for county controller. Republican District Attorney Matt Weintraub held his seat and Republican Fred Harran won the sheriff’s office over Democrat Mark Lomax.

Democrats ousted four Republicans from row offices – aside from Weintraub – in 2017. At the time, the victory was seen as a big win for Democrats, who snatched the row offices from Republicans who had long held the seats.

Democrats still hold the Register of Wills, Treasurer, Clerk of Courts, and Coroner’s offices.

In 2019, incumbent Democratic Diane Ellis-Marseglia and Democrat Bob Harvie won the majority from Republicans on the Bucks County Commissioners and other Democrats took the remaining row offices. Gene DiGirolamo was elected the Republican minority commissioner.
