Two Taken To Hospital After Route 13 Crash

Two people were taken to area hospitals after a crash on Route 13 Sunday morning.

The two-vehicle crash happened around 9:55 a.m. on Route 13 at Edgely Road in Bristol Township. The two cars spun some distance apart, with one coming to rest outside of a business near the intersection.

Firefighters had to extricate a driver who was trapped in a Subaru that was involved.

It took about 20 minutes for firefighters to pry the driver of the Subaru free, Edgely Fire Company Chief Brian Cirard said.

The trapped driver and the driver of the other vehicle both suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the chief said.

The Edgely Fire Company was assisted by Levittown No. 2 Fire Company. The Bucks County and Levittown-Fairless Hills rescue squad responded along with Capital Health Emergency Medical Services.
