The store clerk relayed to police that a man in his 30s came into the store just past 8 a.m. and struck him with a wooden stool. The suspect then opened the cash register and stole $300 in cash, troopers said.

The suspect fled the scene in a late 200s Nissan Altima with a Pennsylvania plate and black wheels. The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Maple Avenue.

Troopers didn’t release further information on any injuries to the store clerk.
