Students and school employees who need COVID-19 testing can get it for free through the Bucks County Health Department.

The testing, which began this week, will take place on an appointment-only basis at the Bucks County Intermediate Unit at 705 North Shady Retreat Road in Doylestown Township.

Student testing is only for kids who have displayed symptoms of COVID-19. The parent or guardian for the child will be responsible for administering the nasal swab test for the minor, officials said.

School employees and contractors must present their up-to-date school-issued identification so they can get tested, officials said.

The testing site is open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
