The slight decline in new COVID-19 infections in Bucks County continued, but hospitalizations remained relatively steady last week.
There were 932 new COVID-19 cases in the county last week, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health data. The number was a decline from the 1,000 new cases the prior week, but significantly higher than the number of cases earlier this summer.

Last week, the county’s COVID-19 test positivity rate in Bucks County rose from 7.3 percent to 7.7 percent. A test positivity rate higher than 5 percent means health experts consider the spread uncontrolled.
To start this week, there were 59 Bucks Countians in area hospitals with COVID-19 and 11 of them were in intensive care, state data showed.
There were no COVID-19 deaths reported last week.

The number of COVID-19 vaccinations in Bucks County dropped last week.
According to numbers, the amount of vaccine doses administered went from 5,693 the prior week to 4,263 doses administered last week.

A total of 39,602 Bucks Countians were partially vaccinated and 326,479 were fully vaccinated at the start of this week, according to state data.
Bucks County continued to rank third out of the four Philadelphia collar counties in vaccination rates. Only Delaware County is further behind Bucks County. The numbers showed that Bucks County and the Philadelphia collar counties have vaccination rates higher than most of the state.
Through the start of this week, 67 percent of eligible Bucks Countians have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
