Bucks County is expected to receive heavy rainfall that could cause flooding this week as the remnants of Hurricane Ida move through the area.
Between Tuesday night and Thursday, the National Weather Service is forecasting that the hurricane’s remnants will dump 3 to 4 inches of rain over Lower Bucks County. Some higher amounts of 6 inches or more could hit the region.

“Significant flooding and flash flooding is likely Wednesday and Wednesday night, especially given that the ground is saturated from recent heavy rain events,” forecasters said in a Monday briefing.
The forecasters also warned of river and stream flooding that could last through the weekend. The length of the Delaware River and its headwaters are expected to see significant rainfall.
The National Weather Service listed the region as being at significant risk for flash flooding and river flooding.
