After COVID-19-related service cuts along SEPTA’s West Trenton Line, the regional transit agency will be adding more service this week.
SEPTA will add more service on the West Trenton line during weekday morning and evening peak service times. Service will rise to 65 percent of pre-COVID-19 levels and 53 percent on weekends.

In addition, new Regional Rail schedules will go into effect on Sunday, September 5.
The West Trenton Line includes the Woodbourne and Langhorne stations in Middletown Township.
All sales offices that were closed during the pandemic will reopen by the first week in September.

Parking will be free at Regional Rail stations through October.
SEPTA will also be increasing service on buses, subways, and trolleys. The service level for those modes of transit will be 93 percent of pre-COVID-19 levels.

SEPTA officials said they are offering discounts on weekly service passes starting the week of September 13 and through the week of September 27. The idea is to spur riders to use SEPTA’s services again.
Due to the pandemic and changes in people heading downtown for work, SEPTA has faced ridership and financial loses.
In expanding service, SEPTA officials said they are expecting increased ridership after Labor Day.
