On Friday, according to Bristol Township Council President Craig Bowen, the new span reopened.
The new two-span steel girder bridge is bigger than the previous bridge and connects the Levittown and Newportville sections of the township.
The previous single-span steel girder bridge was demolished.

The new bridge will provide room for a potential widening of the Turnpike in the future, officials have said.
The temporary traffic light at the intersection of Zimmerman Lane and Newportville Road has been removed due to completion of the bridge.
