The Bucks County Commissioners are requiring employees and the public to wear masks when inside common areas.

The commissioners, who have said they don’t intend to issue any broad mask mandates for businesses at this time, will be ordering masking in county building common areas, like hallways and elevators.

Employees who have proven their vaccination status are not required to wear masks in their offices or workspaces.

A county spokesperson recently said vaccination documentation was recently collected from employees who provided it.

The county lifted mask mandates in buildings in spring and lifted many work-from-home allowances for staff over the summer.

Starting Monday, the county court system implemented a similar mask rule.

According to the Mayo Clinic, wearing face masks can cut down on the spread of COVID-19.
