A New York City man has been charged with drug offenses after a traffic stop in Bristol Township.

Lu was stopped in his van with a container trailer on I-95 south in Bristol Township around 4:15 p.m. on July 7 for speeding, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

A trooper said he suspected criminal activity and a state police K-9 unit responded.

K-9 Evan gave a positive hit on the vehicle, and the van was towed to the state police barracks in Bensalem Township for a search warrant execution, troopers said.

A search led to 79 pounds of suspect marijuana in the rear of the van and in the trunk in two large duffle bags, state police said.

Lu was arraigned by District Judge Kevin Wagner last week and released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
