The crash happened on Veterans Highway near the intersection with Winder Drive around 1 p.m.
The deer ended up going completely through the Honda Accord’s windshield and damaged the roof. The deer landed in the passenger seat before passing away shortly after.
Authorities said the driver suffered injuries from the glass and was kicked by the dying deer inside the Honda. The driver was taken to a local hospital to be treated.

Howard McGoldrick, the chief of the Third District Fire Company, said the deer appeared to have jumped head-on into the Honda.
“In 32 years I’ve never seen that before,” he said.
