Superintendent Dr. Melanie Gehrens highlighted the pandemic conditions that the graduating class overcame, including digital and in-person classes, wearing masks, and physical distancing. She heralded students’ ability to overcome and adapt like tigers, the school’s mascot.
“No one looking at the Class of 2021 can say they had it easy … I believe this class is destined for great things because of the great things this class has accomplished,” she said.
Valedictorian Sierra Andjuar told her peers they learned lessons and had experiences that will stick with them for the rest of their lives.

“As a class, we have survived a global pandemic. This feat alone is monumental and it certainly was not easy,” she said. “We made it.”
