Possession Of A Controlled Substance

An officer was dispatched to the area of Lincoln Highway and Bellevue Avenue for a hit-and-run accident. The driver of the vehicle who was struck stated the vehicle left the scene and drove south on Bellevue Avenue. It was described as a black sedan with white stripes. State police also responded and assisted with locating the vehicle. The vehicle was later found in Hulmeville Borough. With the vehicle were 2 occupants that didn’t match the description. While talking with the other occupants, they reported that they didn’t know where the driver went after the accident. After obtaining consent to search the vehicle, multiple baggies and syringes were found in the vehicle. When officers arrived, a 43-year-old man was found sitting in the front passenger’s seat where the items were found. The man will be cited via summons.
April 2
DUI
An officer participating in an aggressive driving detail observed a vehicle approach his location on Lincoln Highway and then make a U-turn. As the vehicle turned around, there was no registration plate on the back of the vehicle. The officer then went to stop the vehicle. After stopping the vehicle, the officer made contact with the driver and sole occupant, a 48-year-old woman, identified by her state driver’s license. While speaking with the woman, the officer could detect the odor of alcohol coming from her breath and person. The woman was asked to step out and participate in field sobriety exercises. The odor of alcohol was still coming from the woman’s breath and person and she was unable to complete the field sobriety exercises. She was arrested for suspected DUI. Officers were dispatched to the area of Woodland Avenue and Bellevue Avenue for the report of a two-vehicle accident. Upon speaking the driver of one car, identified as a 46-year-old man indicated that he had stopped for the stop sign on Woodland Avenue and thought that a vehicle traveling on Bellevue Avenue would stop for their stop sign and proceeded through the intersection. There are no posted stop signs for vehicles on Bellevue Avenue. While speaking to the man, officers could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and person, even outside of the vehicle. The man was asked to participate in field sobriety exercises which he was unable to complete. The man was arrested for suspected DUI and will be sent a summons to appear in court.

DUI
Officers were clearing a traffic stop when they observed a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction at a high rate of speed. As officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the vehicle began to drift across the white roadway marking lines. The vehicle stopped in the area of Centre Avenue and Lincoln Highway. Upon approaching the vehicle, there was a sole occupant, ifentified by his driver’s license as a 31-year-old man. While speaking with the man, officers could detect the odor of alcohol coming from his breath and person. The man was asked to participate in field sobriety exercises which he was unable to complete. The man was arrested for suspected DUI and will be sent a summons to come to court.

Officers observed a vehicle fail to stop at the steady red light posted at Lincoln Highway and Hulmeville Avenue. Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke to the sole occupant, identified as a 44-year-old man. While speaking with the man, officers could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and person. The man was asked to participate in field sobriety exercises, which he was unable to complete. The man was arrested for suspected DUI and will be sent a summons to appear in court.

Marijuana Possession

Officers observed a vehicle traveling on Lincoln Highway with only one working headlight. The vehicle then turned into the 7-Eleven on Lincoln Highway. The vehicle was stopped and the driver, and sole occupant, was contacted. The driver was identified by his Pennsylvania non-driver’s ID as a 55-year-old man. The man did state that he did not have a valid license and that he let his insurance lapse. While speaking with the man, officers could detect the distinct odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The man denied that any illegal substances were in the vehicle and also refused a consent search of his vehicle. The vehicle was towed, impounded, and a search warrant for the vehicle was approved. After searching the vehicle, suspected marijuana and paraphernalia were found in the vehicle. The Orange County expungement lawyers acknowledge the measures made by police and termed them as the right thing to do to teach a lesson, not to commit this crime ever again. The man will be sent a summons to appear in court. Officers on patrol observed a vehicle traveling on Lincoln Highway without a functioning brake light. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the occupants of the vehicle. On approach of the vehicle, officers could see in plain sight drug paraphernalia and alcohol beverage containers. The driver gave consent to officers to search the vehicle where additional items of paraphernalia and suspected marijuana were found. The man was arrested for the possession of the items. During a search after his arrest, an offensive prohibited weapon was found in his pocket. All of the items were seized and the passenger was allowed to leave with the vehicle without charges. There are penalties for DUI if underage that should be implemented strictly to ensure that no one should ever take these illegal drugs again and the seller should be so afraid to sell them in the market.
April 22

Officers observed a vehicle traveling on Lincoln Hwy that had a dark tint on all of the windows that prohibited the viewing of the inside of the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the driver and sole occupant, a 20-year-old man. He was identified by his driver’s license. While speaking with the man, officers could detect the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. They could also see that the man had blood-shot watery eyes and he was asked to perform field sobriety testing. During the testing, the man displayed poor performance and slowed reaction times indicating impairment. The man was arrested for DUI for drugs and will be sent a summons to appear in court.

Officers observed a vehicle that was in a left hand turn lane make an abrupt right hand turn onto Lincoln Highway from Durham Road. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the driver and sole occupant, a 35-year-old man. While speaking with the man, officers were able to detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and person. The man was asked to participate in field sobriety exercises, which he was unable to complete. The man was arrested for suspected of DUI. Blood work analysis indicated the presence of alcohol and other illegal narcotics in the man’s system at the time of the stop. Charges were filed via summons.

Officers conducted a pedestrian stop of a subject outside a business on Lincoln Highway at around 12:30 a.m. A check of computer records indicated that the 56-year-old man had an arrest warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office. The man was taken into custody and held until the sheriffs could arrive.
