A number of residents have been relocated after an early morning Tuesday blaze in a building that has business and residential tenants.

Bristol Borough Fire Chief Herb Slack said there were no injuries in the blaze that happened in the 1600 block of Farragut Avenue.
The fire reached two-alarms as additional manpower was needed. The blaze was reported around 12:04 a.m. and flames were shooting from the roof when crews arrived.
The flames were placed under control around 1:15 a.m.

“A second alarm was struck for additional manpower because of the size of the building requiring the roof to be opened and extensive overhaul to check for additional fire spread,” Slack said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation by the Bucks County Fire Marshal’s Office.

Slack said the fire started in the rear of a second-floor apartment.
The building features 16 apartments and Black Sparrow Tattoo Studio and Sadie’s Irish Pub.
“All residents have been temporarily relocated,” Slack said.

Fire companies from Bensalem Township, Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, Falls Township, and Middletown Township all responded to the scene.

Flames were seen shooting from the roofline of a Bristol Borough building that houses businesses and apartments.
Firefighters responded to the 1600 block of a Farragut Avenue not long after midnight Tuesday for a structure fire.

Additional fire trucks from surrounding areas rushed to the scene and crews worked to put down the flames for some time.
There was no immediate word from authorities on injuries, but a nearby resident said they didn’t see anyone taken by ambulance.

Firefighters knocked out the windows on the second floor above Black Sparrow Tattoo Studio and Sadie’s Irish Pub as they worked to knock down the flames.
A fire official who was not authorized to speak to the press said there was extensive overhaul needed at the scene.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
