Republican Pamela Van Blunk will face off against Democratic incumbent Neale Dougherty to lead the Bucks County Controller’s Office in the November general election.
Van Blunk beat back Republican primary challenger Andy Warren approximately 31,000 votes to 21,000, according to unofficial vote tallies.

The controller is county government’s fiscal watchdog and oversees spending and other internal processes. The office is able to conduct investigations into matters relating to county funds.
Van Blunk, who was endorsed by the county Republican party, is an attorney who has lived in Bucks County for 28 years. Van Blunk put herself through law school as a single mom with three kids. Warren is a former teacher, PennDOT district executive, and Bucks County Commissioner.
Dougherty, who was endorsed by the county Democrats, was first elected to be the county’s controller in 2017 previously worked in the financial services and commercial insurance industry.
